Archives and Records Management Information System (ARMIS) is a document management, tracking, archiving and disposal system for government agencies. Through the system, agencies are given an instance through their own agency site where authorized users can route, track, search and retrieve their agencies’ documents and records through the advanced search features of the system. The public can also have access to public records for public viewing.

BENEFITS:

  • faster and more efficient use, management, disposition of government documents and records
  • easier classification and sorting of sensitive data and public documents

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

  • completed systems developmentundergoing system security and vulnerability check
  • ongoing pilot implementation to nine agencies (see Annex 1 for the list)
  • Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) integration with GovMail
  • ongoing developments:
    • minor terminology changes in the user interface
    • additional information to dashboard and email notifications
    • show systems-generated unique ID for each document to serve as the document’s tracking number
