Listed below are the requirements for application to the

  • Web Hosting Service ONLY
  • DNS Hosting Service ONLY
  • DNS Hosting and Web Hosting Service
  • .gov.ph DNS Registration, DNS Hosting, and Web Hosting Service
  • Updating of GWHS account information

Notes:

  • Email Hosting is not included in the Government Web Hosting Service. For the Government Wide eMail System (GovMail), please visit their website.
  • .gov.ph DNS Registration Service is different from the DNS Hosting service and that the Web Hosting Service does not automatically include DNS Hosting. If you also need DNS Hosting, kindly send your concerns to helpdesk@i.gov.ph for further assistance.
  • Requirements for websites:

If using the prescribed CMS, the website must be:

✓ version 4.5.3+ for WordPress; or version 7.44+ for Drupal.

✓ or using Liferay version 6.2+

If not using the prescribed CMS, the website must run on:

✓ PHP version 5.4+

✓ Apache version 2.4.x

✓ MySQL version 5.5+

Note: For the meantime, we strongly discourage the of use of Joomla CMS due to the recent security issues encountered.

This is applicable only for agencies who are hosting their domains in-house and does not need the DNS Hosting Service.

1. Submit an official letter of request, written in your agency’s letter head, stating that you are interested in the Government Web Hosting Service (GWHS). The letter should be signed by any of the following: Agency Head, Chief Information Officer, or MIS head. Address the letter of request to:

2. Accomplish the Web Hosting Service Application Form. Details in the form should be specific and correct. Please write legibly.

3. Submit the scanned application form (in PDF format) together with the letter of request to helpdesk@i.gov.ph, then, indicate your agency name and the service you are availing in the email subject.  An email notification will be sent to the authorized persons you indicated in your application form.

4. For other concerns, you can email helpdesk@i.gov.ph.


This is applicable for websites that are migrating their DNS records and does not need web hosting.

1. Submit two letters of request written with your agency’s official letter head.
This letter must be signed by any of the following: Agency Head, Chief Information Officer, or MIS head.

*Letter of intent to avail the DNS Hosting service of the DICT

a. DNS Hosting Service Application Form
b. For agencies with NO existing gov.ph domain: .gov.ph Domain Application Form or
c. For agencies with existing gov.ph domain: .gov.ph Domain Registry Modification Form

Form Details must be accurate. Please write legibly.

Please indicate the following for the name server information fields in the Registry Application or Modification Form, :
* Primary name server: murphy.gov.ph
* Secondary name server: miriam.gov.ph
* Other NS: mike.gov.ph, elmo.gov.ph

3. Submit the scanned application forms (in PDF format) together with the letter of request to helpdesk@i.gov.ph, then, indicate your agency name and the service/s you are availing in the email subject.  An email notification will be sent to the authorized persons you indicated in your application forms.

In the name server information fields in the Domain Application Form, please indicate the ff:

* Secondary name server: miriam.gov.ph
* Other NS: mike.gov.ph, elmo.gov.ph

This is applicable for agencies with existing GWHS cPanel accounts in the servers of the DICT and want to update the account information indicated in the previously submitted application form.

1. Accomplish the GWHS Account Modification Form. Details in the form should be specific and correct. Please write legibly.

2. Submit the modification form to helpdesk@i.gov.ph and wait for an email notification regarding your request. The notice will be emailed to the authorized persons you indicated in the modification form.
